To those back in UK.....Just walked around the garden on a lovely sunny day.

First narcissi are in flower, irises about to flower, sweet peas about a foot tall, roses, oleander in flower.

Pea pods nearly ready for picking.

Apple tree in blossom, and a new hand of bananas showing.

I suppose it's winter here?

Our oranges are now ready for picking lovely big sweet ones, and the orange blossom is now coming on the trees. Even my roses that I pruned a month ago are budding again.

It's winter and I love it. Do you think we will get a white Christmas???

Hi Mike, thanks for that! Just walked (very gingerly as it's so icy) round my garden in Lancaster, minus 2c, poured kettle of water on bird bath to break ice, put seed out for birds as ground so frozen there's nothing else for them to eat! Piles of leaves need clearing but far too cold to start today! Deffo winter here! can't wait to get back to NC for morning coffee in the sunshine! I know it's cold there at night but this is ridiculous!!!

Still got butterflies and hummingbird moths in the garden. My citrus trees are starting to flower and then of course we have the weeds sprouting, so is it winter or is it spring?

Just waiting for the sleet and snow thats been forecast for today. It's not cold it's totally baltic, should be allowed to hibernate until March. I am so jealous of you lot over there in sunny NC. Best of both worlds at the moment - sunny during the day and nice log fires at night.

You lucky people!

Daisy Dukes

You need an anti-emetic ( to stop you needing the bucket!)
