What makes 'Sticky' sticky and why?

Just noticed the latest 'sticky' on the Forum is about a b****y rugby match. Why!

There have been a lot of threads recently that are more important and worthy than a rugby match (in my opinion). that have despite requests not been given this accolade.

Anyone want to give their opinion on what subjects should be made sticky and why.

Please remember not to make it personal and my apologies in advance to Izzet and administrators, as previously stated trying to come to terms with the latest 'sticky'

It's not rugby per say but I think Izzet feels promoting the only rugby team in TRNC is worthwhile in giving it a higher profile.

Izzet only makes a posting 'sticky' after evaluation when requested by the thread author.

If it is not requested then it is not made 'sticky'

Simple.

To make a start on the guidelines criteria, may i suggest that it relates to/ promotes a non-profit making event; that the event is not held on a regular, say weekly or monthly basis. I would include Puma matches, (although i know you dont' like them, but the club is the Turkish/TRNC champions.) I would also include major BRS events like their annual dinner dance.



I am sure there are other criterias and invite suggestions.

I thought it might generate some constructive suggestions, (in addition to M/s 1), (which could then be referred to the board.) Seems I was wrong.

Isn't this just the stickiest subject since sticky the stick insect got stuck on a sticky toffee apple (with apologies to Joe Soap who was hoping for some constructive suggestions!!!)
