is £200 for contents and building insurance too much.
our estate agent said it would only cost us about £50, there is a bit of a difference

it depends on the rebuild cost of your property
50 squids seems a bit cheap though
there are plenty of insurance agents and an english one on the Alsancak to Lapta road. I cannot remember their name but someone reading this will no doubt put it on the board.

Depends on what you are rebuilding. A 200m² Villa, an 80m² Bungalow, a 75m² Apartment.
A little more information may help us determine if you should look around at others offering this service.

it is 124 sqr garden apartment at chelsey village.
have emailed a few the only one to get back is steve Dickinson. axa havent't bothered. so keeping my fingers crossed steve comes up with the goods

we have 3 bed 125mtr top floor appt.paid for "full" cover of accident damage ,damage from others property ,earthquake all usual etc for £160 .
with axa .
could have got it £20/£30 cheaper in girne with local company etc ,but went for international name that i knew .
i also got quotes from steve dickenson on lapta strip but sadly when i was out it was closed .

we paid £ 380 , with dagli sigorta for a 4 bed detached ,
buildings £140,000,00
contents £10,000,00
add perils £150,000,00 that to include flood , internal water invasion ,storm , air vehicle impact , land vehicle impact .landslide , smoke , strike , lockout , riot , civil commotion and malicious acts
earthquake £150,000,00
theft £10,000,00
glass plate £200,00

Umbrella insurance underwritten by AON will offer you insurance also if you go into the Iktisat bank in Girne Ziya Rizki avenue, (main shopping street) they have a brilliant english department, no queues no long waits, everything in plain english and their price matches every other quote mentioned
e-mail for a quote
alev.peler@iktisatbank.com and quote 30/304/4408977 tell them what you want and the cover you require and compare like for like
