We unfortunately lost our dog recently and have always had terriers. Would love to get a Jack Russel but do not know if it will be possible out here. Any info would be gratefully received.

We had a Jack, brought her from Uk but unfortunately lost her to poisoning 16 months ago. There is a lady in Catalkoy, she has a male jack Russel, the lady is called Maureen and she has or had a book stall at Pegasus on a Friday, she is well known, her surname escapes me. I do know Pertev the vet may be able to help you as he called me in the past to see if I wanted to breed my Jack with this ladies dog. we have just got ourselves a new puppy, abandoned outside vets, 8 weeks and jack russel cross terrier maybe, but she is growing like the speed of light. Good luck in your quest.

Dear Annie, thank you for the thought but we need a small dog. We only have a small home and a 4 year old boy so I would not be able to cope with a large dog. I will contact Pertev and see if he can help.

Dear Jim, Would definitely be interested. Do you have a picture you could email me on wise.lydia@hotmail.com. I would certainly feel less guilty rehoming a dog rather than buying one! When do you plan to go back to the uk? We would be happy to wait if we knew we had a dog coming. Ahmet really misses our dog. Lilli, I will pop and see the beautiful Dylan. What colour is he? I know it sounds odd but Turks have a thing about all black animals!!!!!!

Have you had a look up at KAR. They have quite a few terrier cross up there. They also have a lovely little staffy called Tina - great temperament, a very sweet little dog.

How nice to hear a good ending to a doggy story, glad you are not buying one Wiser, always best to rehome, IMO dog breeding in Cyprus should be illegal, there are too many homeless dogs already, well done and hope Ahmet and the dog hit it off immediately.
