| Yesterday i had my hotmail hacked, so ignore any emails advertising iPhones...i didn't send it! Sadly i have lost all my contacts...so no email sending for a while! :(((

We had exactly the same happen to us a couple of weeks ago. Ensure that you change your password immediately.

| I received a similar mail from a mate in Dogankoy a few weeks ago but realised from the style of writing that it was not genuine so just deleted the mail. My mate's hotmail account had been hacked. |

| Password has been changed, but all contacts gone. Oh well, there are much worse things going on! Anyway, a friend of mine, is convinced it's because of some facebook applications. For all facebook users, be careful with your application accepting.

| I sometimes get so called messages on MSN from a friend, who assures me that they never sent it. Report phishing where you can.
I also got an e mail from a friend (purportedly) and it is all to do with a Dating Agency who have hacked into hotmail addresses.
Just delete. Never even say 'No thank you' or they have 'got you' and your address book.
Better safe than sorry, or query it direct with the friend who seems to have written to you.
There are some really nasty people out there, and we should rejoice that Cyprus doesn't get half as much of the bad stuff as other countries, including U.K. |

| one way I think you can avoid this is by making sure you log out before you close any facebook or hotmail etc application, sorry this happened DD, what a nightmare!
