Two and a half million people in Uk do not consider themselves wealthy........

Why???

Because they only earn 100,000 sterling per annum

They feel if it was nearer 150.000 sterling that would be more satisfactory.

Bearing in mind the average household have 35,000 sterling per annum to live on......

The families earning the higher figure have two foreign holidays per year.

I say.... get real !!!!!!!!

I think the average wage is £20-25k, but the figure quoted is per "household"

Look on the benefits website, a family can claim if they earn less that 55k so where would Britain be without these high earners, they probably do not consider there selves wealthy, just look at what income tax and insurance these high earners pay, they could sit on there bums and settle for a few hours work and claim up to 55k with the benefit system, no credit crunch with benefit claimers there money is there no matter what !!!

When I was working I managed quite easily on less than £14,000pa.

As a single man that included household expenses, running a small car and living. Also as a single guy I received no benefits apart from a few pounds in tax credits for being on a low wage.

Poverty today in UK is not being able to afford the latest mobile phone or i-pod!

When I went back a few months ago to Uk, bearing in mind a recession was in progress,

Well....... you wouldn't have thought it from where I was looking, people scurrying about like ants spending, carrying lots of bags, I can only assume some folks just buy because the goods are cheap and because they are there, do they really need it..... probably a big resounding NO!!!!!!
