I think you will find that they work off either the mains or batteries. They are generally able to take SD cards or USB memory sticks and thus do not need to be connected to any computer. This is certainly the case with ours.

they have to be plugged into a socket ive one over here for sale its a kodak with remote control and multi formated can be plugged into the computer to download or just takes the memory card out of your camera Unfortunately no box for it.£70.00 cost me double that. rob on 05338403348

I have a Kodak which was given to me as a present and it is great and just needs to be plugged into the mains socket.

I have a Kodak 10" screen one for sale here in the UK cost £100 hardly used as now we put our pictures on the DVD hard drive and play them on the TV with music.
