Just watching on BBC News ... Alistair Darling is taking a severe booting from the Shadow Chacellor George Osborne ... , I would say the pre budget speech in the House of Commons is about the worst timing for this government based on the UK's GDP deficit announced today. The only G20 country still in recession... sell your pounds... Stay in Cyprus, the UK is not the place to be ... hope the weather is better than last week for you all ... rained none stop here for the last 3 weeks... ... Merry Xmas to all.

Best line of the day so far is George Osborne telling that Alistair that he's achieved the impossible - "ring fencing a black hole" - priceless!!

msg 1, "sell your pound." Oh great, that's all I need, a Tory speculator driving down the value of the pound to discredit the government's fiscal policies and obviously to make themselves a pile of cash. Takes me back to the 80's.

They are both tarred with the same brush (Darling and Osbourne) - only guy I've seen on TV recently who makes any kind of sense is Vince Cable.
