I went out for shopping yesterday and bought a tray of beef cubes over a pound in weight, when I got home I emptied my purchases onto kitchen side, now I must add that since we got our puppy just over 2 weeks ago I have been leaving kitchen door slightly open to encourage her out into garden for the obvious reasons.

I was in lounge and heard a noise from kitchen, when I went in a bag of mushrooms had fallen off side into dogs water bowl, so I started to prepare the meal and mysteriously the beef was missing.

I might add that we have had problems with 2 stray cats coming into the garden, my theory is:

A cat has taken the meat, do you think it is possible? To take the whole tray (polystyrene and cling film etc).

I walked around the site to see if I could find any evidence, such as discarded tray but nothing.Very perplexing..

When I was a kid we had a large labrador dog. It was Christmas Day, the turkey was cooked and we all sat down to lunch. Mum brought out the veg, and roasties and went back for the Turkey for dad to carve. The tin foil was on the meat plate and when she took it off (for a fanfare) the turkey had gone. The dog had taken it to the top of the garden and was observed eating it. How he did this, I do not know?

It was so funny for us kids, but I dont think our parents thought it was so funny.

Fish Fingers all round, and a memorable Christmas Day. LOL. Happy days.

A Tara true tale. x

Tara

That is so funny, but of course not so on Xmas day.

I even went back to supermarket to see if I had left it there, I was doubting if I had actually put in the bag but remember at the time seeing it at the cashout. OH well, se la vie

many years ago - my ginger tom cat chewed every defrosted bit off our turkey. It looked like it had been attacked by rats! undiscovered until too late, I had to continue defrosting and cook the next day as it was. (sorry Sis, if you are reading this!!!)
