Turkish Cypriots had nothing to do with him when alive, so they have no interest in his corpse either. The Greek Cypriots are divided into so many fractions and they are really fanatical about it. However I can expect the wildest accusations from them lot against the Turkish Cypriots. Any excuse is good enough for them. ismet

Just heard on Dutch radio. A report about this missing person P. in the South. And of course "the talks" were mentioned. Guess what? Dutch correspondent Bram Vermeulen (based in Istanbul) called Mr. Talat "President Talat"! I hope my colleague Vermeulen doesn't get fired...

This has to be so obviously a stunt to screw up the current talks, one way or the other. The TCs get the blame - game over. The GCs get the blame - game over.

To all those that think its funny; Digging up a decomposing body is sick. Regardless of who or what he was. The man is DEAD. What do you propose they do with him? flog him? hang him? He is DEAD.

I sincerely apologise to any one who has taken offence by my childish remarks. But he did look like he'd been gardening, covered in dirt etc... Wouldn't be the first time he's dug himself out of a hole.

RE msg 22, BillyB: (...) I sincerely apologise to any one who has taken offence by my childish remarks. (...) => Don't worry, kid. Your profile gives your age as 10 and you've proven that to be true in earlier posts. Bedtime now, my boy. Don't play on your father's computer again, OK?

From the news... President Demetris Christofias, who beat Papadopoulos in March 2008 elections, urged Cypriots "to remain calm in the face of this provocative act." He doesnt say 'despicable' act, not 'revolting' act, but provocative....what does that say to you. I know what he was thinking. Pretty obvious huh!

maybe not, mess 25. dont forget that many Greek speaking Cypriots were shocked when he wasn't re-elected ! Whether due to apathy, or true politics. The man was revered and then rejected by his "own" people - so don't assume anything at this stage........

Police news is that a local Ford dealer in laranca is under suspicion of body snatching due to an outstanding 'bubble payment' on a Ford Focus. Latest reports say that ford representatives have been working on the 'noisy brake' theory...clearly it an open & shut case of 'bubble & squeak'
