Have to agree with the other posters. Have never had a bad meal at Niazis. You must try the seafood casserole - a fantastic winter dish !!

Niazis was a topic a little while ago due to poor service. My last time there earlier this year was not good compared to previous visits.

We shall not go there again - will not negotiate on portion sizes -getting gredy and complacent - you dont get service -you get processed.

The last time we went there they couldn't even be bothered to come and ask us what we wanted, so after 15/20mins we got up and walked out. This was during the day and there was only about 4 other people there at the time.

Simpler but better value is Niazis Takeaway.

That is at the end of High Street before you get to Turk Bank, on right hand side. There is ample free parking in the improved park just opposite.

Always basic but good value and good service.

99% of the meals we have eaten at Niazis have been good and at realistic prices. They always give small portions on the veg but we ask for extra when we are hungry and they always deliver. Service can be slow but this seems to be when they are extremely busy. This does not worry us too much as we are there for the evening and given that slow service is the norm in TRNC for the busy months (always at the popular ones) - we sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. There other places that serve faster food and we use them when we want a quick meal.

msg 11, same thing happened to us the first time we went, about 6 years ago. Didn't go again until about 2 years ago, good service and great food. Been good every time since. Don't usually take a second chance but glad we did.

we had a fab meal there last Thursday, couldn't fault it, service was good too

We stumbled upon it by accident as originally we were looking for Effendis, couldn't find that, then looked for Sabor... no luck :-(

Ate there last night. I had a very nice T-Bone steak whilst the wife had fish florentine. Both meals were excellent. Have eaten there on numerous occasions and never been disappointed. Staff polite and attentive and atmosphere is normally buzzing.

We looked for Effendis in December/January, found it but appeared to be shut up, anyone any idea?

I have just tried to look at their menu and prices but they don't show it for the restaurant opposite the Dome Hotel, only their take away
