For all those would be vegetarians that dont like the thought of killing animals for meat, the Dutch have had a break through with petrie dish protein:

Sounds revolting, but as we as humans are designed to be omniverous, it will keep the veggie people more healthy! And as far as Dutch research on plants go, I am their biggest fan. the best plants and bulbs I have ever grown have come from Holland.

Adagirl! Are you sure about post nr. 1? The trend on this board is slagging Holland and the Dutch off.

Oh no. I wasn't being sarcastic. Whenever ı "found" a rare plant I wanted, I ALWAYS found it on a Dutch website and I have been to Holland and found it to be honest as a 14 year old a little boring. but ı have to admit when it comes to organic and preservation Holland ROCKS!! And if one day, there is an end to pasty faced vegetarians killing themselves slowly for lack of decent food (wait for the flak) then I am all for it!

Do I sense a sensitive side DC? By the way I attended one of your talks re the Knights Templars with my son and we thoroughly enjoyed it. (doesn't mean I am in love by the way) we will I think agree to disagree on other things!

Adagirl: I'm as sensitive as Cyprus rock. I tried to be sarcastic in msg 2, but in general not related to your msg Nr. 1. If you ever need some info about (flowers in) Holland I'll be most pleased to help you. OK?

ok, you asked! I have always wanted Strelitzia juncea I was on a waiting list for the seed but came here before it materialised. If you can get me that seed, I WILL love you forever! Holland was the only place that was developing this beautiful plant and İ have the Strelitzia reginae and Strelitzia nicolai, but my life long love of this plant has to be with juncea.
