Ok, so there must be quite a few owners of this great cook book.

Has anyone cooked anything from it yet and if so how did you get on. I am still ploughing through the pages and picking out my favourite recipes and will be out on a mission this week to buy ingredients.

Hi Dennis

How did sales go at the Chateau yesterday?

Now the winter is here I am going to be concentrating on soups and there are so many to chose from but I maybe will give the lambs head soup a miss. I do not feel right walking back from the butchers with that in a carrier bag.

Sales went well, although I did expect more folk to be there. Maybe it was because of the KAR event. Ist edition has almost sold out, another 2000 copies have been ordered.

I know I wouldnt fancy lambs head either.

AJ,

I don't think I fancy asking for sheep's intestines either!! Other than that the book looks fab but like you haven't tried anything yet, next week I will test a couple of recipes out.

AJ,

I have just made my first dish from this book and it was absolutely delicious, in fact I did not make enough potatoes (only because they tasted so good). I made Chicken and Potatoes in the Oven.

The only problem (which was a minor one at that) was that the recipe used 'cups' and I have no idea what cups they were on about (english/american or any other!) and I ended up guessing some of it and had a little too much oil but I know for next time.

My husband, who at the best of times only likes traditional English meat and 2 veg dishes, even enjoyed it and would eat it again!!
