Are there any good DVD shops in the south where i might be able to get hold of some good old Children's Christmas classics.

Or for that matter are there any on our side that might stock such items.

Go to the Mall, where you'll find Debenhams, Carrefour and Ikea - go up the escalator from the ground floor to the second floor and you'll find the largest computer, TV, video games, mobile phone shp, etc in Cyprus - there you should be able to find what you want. Just make sure that the titles are in English - most, however, are liable to have Greek subtitles or 'voice-over' in Greek. They have huge stocks of DVD's. As a bonus, you can get a cheap and cheerful lunch for your family at a very reasonable cost.

Good luck and have a nice day out!

As for TRNC/Girne - try the Saturday morning market at Chateau Lambousa - often you'll find a goodly selection of CD's and DVD's on various stalls.

I should have mentioned that the big store at the Mall is called 'Public'.

Morning Sazna

If you go to the DVD shop on the left as you drive into Girne, (I think its near Cod Baba, someone on here will tell you) they have a super selection of Kids DVD's. Or the guys there will put anything you like onto DVD for you. Just ask them (music too!)

They have done all sorts for us, TV series, favourite albums and movies.

The DVD shop in Alsancak is good, she always has the latest films and much cheaper then going to public in the south.

Amazon and Ebay both deliver here.

Play will deliver to the South free of charge if you have a PO Box over there.

And condone/support/purchase the pirating of copyright material, JohhnyLee/Msg 14?

The store in Alsancak is quite good for dvd's if you want copies. If not then the South is the best place.

I get stuff from Amazon frequently and it normally arrives in under 2 weeks. Used to be quicker but it is all now coming from Germany and seems to be taking a little longer. Never had any problems with them at all.
