Madisons is a new shopping mall close to The Cyprus Mall, due to open soon. Canaletto is another mall planned for later next year. the Madisons (former IMC) operated by AD Shopping Galleries that has been refurbished by store specialists JHP Design and will be ready to open in late November or early December, and the Canaletto development in Lakatamia that will share land with joint venture partner Kykko Monastery and is still in planning stages. Madisons has 18,000 sq.m. of commercial space over four floors and will have leisure facilities, a bowling alley, eateries and shops, while the Canaletto project will have 56,000 sq.m. of shopping space and 1600 parking spaces, expanding in its second phase to include a DIY store and more supermarkets with work starting on the project next April if it secures the necessary permits by then.

They are aiming for before Xmas this year. I think Lakatamia is an area on the outskirts of Lefkosia , but not sure exactly where.

They were opening today we think as it was chaos on the approach roads, but the Mall of Cyprus was very quiet!

I drove past there this afternoon and I definitely do not think it has opened as you could see scaffolding inside the building. The road was chaos because there were all kinds of vehicles parked on both sides of the road that goes past the building.

Could someone please tell me where it is in relation to the Mall of Cyprus? For example if I had gone straight over the roundabout with the coloured balls on it, taken the first turning left, got to the T-Junction where the Home Base shop is and turned left to go to the Mall of Cyprsu and Ikea would I be somewhere near it? Easy directions only please.... Thanks

Thanks Tinkie, I thought it was open when we passed as cars were abandoned everywhere and the car park was full. What shops are in there please?

Not many that I recognised actually, its strange in there a bit like a cross between a shopping mall and a department store...esp on the first floor which has menswear, womenswear and childswear sections but no store names. There is a Ted Baker shop, a couple of shoe shops, gift shop, underwear, sock shop, large frangrance and cosmetic area, which feels like Duty Free at heathrow, only much more expensive. The lower floor wasnt finished, but there is a small ice rink down there which someone was skating on. The top floor is the food hall and it looked nice, but we didnt venture all the way up. It looks nice, much more up market than the mall of cyprus but no UK high street store like next and debenhams.

Thanks Tinkie sounds like one to visit when we go on our girlie day trips and lunches at Ikea. Sounds like a similar set up to Boundary Mills in the UK.
