Recently, Moody's upgraded 4 Turkish banks. For full article, see: http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSL971620120091109

The following have branches in Cyprus: Turkiye Is Bank & Ziraat Bank. I'd also think HSBC is relatively safe in comparison to the smaller less well capitalised banks.

I thought that all turkish banks here are classed as offshore banks so no guarantees just francises. When I first came here there was a barcleys bank but that closed down suddenly. How can we find out how safe our money is, we can't that is the answer. Maybe buying back in the uk is a good investment now,as some good deals around, and with a good rental income.

Why not come and see me in Turk Bank, Girne. I am up the top of the high street on the left hand side just before Seker Bank which is on the right hand side and I am here from 8.15am to 12.30pm Monday to Friday. Turk Bank have been in business for over 100 years and are considered to be one of the safest banks.

You may telephone me on 0392 815 1360 if you wish.

Many thanks

I would recommend Creditwest Bank. They just won an award this week, the first time a North Cyprus bank has won this. Figen Kaymak the manager of Catalkoy and Karoglanoglou banks is always on hand with brilliant advise as is all her English speaking staff. The bonus is you are usually in and out in minutes as well.
