Hi

Does anyone know someone in the Girne/Lapta area that is small and intimate for New Years Eve? Where they will let you know its midnight, but not a big party.

Thanks

I agree Guido's for fine wine, food and company. Small but not too small and the perfect place to see the New Year in if you want somewhere quiet.

However if you want somewhere a bit more lively then JK's in Lapta the place to be.

Back on the Guido`s thread again? Why are no other restaurants pushed like this one. In the same price range there is always St. Tropez if you want an intimate meal.

Come on - there must be somewhere that isnt having an entertainer/loud unasked for musak/doubled up prices! A nice meal, quiet surroudings, friends, and someone to announce its midnight thats all we ask. We thought we'd found one last year and then arrived to find party hats and an entertainer!!

Liz, I want to have the "countdown" at midnight NC time, not 2am, when I hope to be safely "tucked up".

you remember "Christmas with the Crosbies" ??

Well i don't think you can beat new years eve with the Mongers...

Chestnuts roasting by the fire, skandanavian credit card collection viewing and at midnight - a game of Twister...

Just sad we won't be there to see it this year :0(

Nick - will it be the usual "Open House" at the Mongers this year?

If yes, best to get there early, as places are limited and it's a very popular venue.
