| We have owned a house in Lapta since 2004 and are currently attempting to sell it but have encountered a bit of a stumbling block. I wonder if it has happened to others. It starts like this. We purchased one of 5 houses, off-plan, being built by Daryl and Deniz of the Australian Construction Company. The project was being marketed by Unwins. The solicitors, for both sides, were Gurkan and Gurkan. All paperwork seemed to be completed as required and Kocans were provided to 3 of the homeowners. The remaining two have not yet completed all the formalities required. However, the Kocans are for the land only and do not have the houses or the pools shown on them. Until recently, it was suggested that this was a minor problem which would be rectified at the time that the house was sold. We have now been informed, by our Estate Agents, (not Unwins), that they will find it very difficult to complete sale of our house, should there bFinal Approval Document-have you got one? |

| So have you got own kocan, or is it shared? i.e. Has the land been parcelised? Do you know what the 'formalities' (very dubious word in this country) are in the other 2 cases? If the land isn't parcelled it could be these that are holding things up. Getting a full kocan is not something that can be rectified at the point of sale, it takes time, I've been there and got the T-shirt! |
