It's snowing in London, we are due out in TRNC next monday and I am busy trying to decide what to pack. What is the average day time temperature at the moment?

pack your layers, we still get warm sunshine and rain, ie jeans, joggers, fleeces, socks, dressing gowns, cosy slippers (tiles are cold) and enjoy! x

Forget cold tiled floors!!

Just sew 2 bits of carpet to the bottom of your slippers!

Fitted carpets throughout at a fraction of the cost!

If you have an old sheep skin,

sew a piece of that to your slippers,

then you can skate about the house

AJ - knew I'd heard that before somewhere! I used to read my son's Viz comics and always found the 'top tips' kind of thing very funny.

Regards.

Viz have had some excellent ideas.

Couple of my favourites:

If you're cooking or have an open fire/stove, big potatoes wrapped in tinfoil,.. cook,.. allow to cool slightly,.. wrap in cling film,... put in bed. Then eat them tomorrow.

Pee into your hot water bottle. (obviously easier for men than women).

I see it has been raining heavily in Cyprus and there is damage to many of our houses from

inadequate drainage from flat roofs. It was awful when I was out end Oct/Nov.

We've had no snow so far except in the Highlands and little rain, just sunny, cold days which

I much prefer.

I love it how people can't get to work in the morning when it snows but they're perfecty capable of getting home when it snows during work.

Hey you guys and dolls, you don't know what cold is. I'm now in Ottawa,Canada and its not only -25 degrees but the snow will be here until March. Its great having a white Christmas but look forward to the warmer climate of Northern C in the near future. (I actually live in Bahceli but am visiting family in Canada until early Jan.) Merry Christmas to all.
