Just been out for some wood for the fire,

16.2c cloudy and it's starting to rain, in Esentepe.

Afternoon by the fire, and a cold Gold Fassl for me

At least we don't need to worry about snow, yet!

everon - fortunately for us, yes. Mind you, it took me for ever yesterday morning to "defrost" the car - driver's side door and window frozen and water in windscreen wiper bottle frozen too.

Sideways,

"In Ulyanovsk and Yakutsk frosts to-40c!"

Ulyanovsk? Now? It is not typical in this area of the country. I would say the weather conditions in these two cities are quite different. In Yakutsk you can get the temperature down to -60 and even lower.

It is cold here in Bristol but with carpets, eff gch etc it is toasty, glad I am here. Off to see my grandson in his school play, he has a speaking part, he is the innkeeper, ah bless, I will be beaming with pride.

Dee - now remember, no tears

Every time I went to see my son in the nativity play, I always ended up in tears! What are we like?

With love and best wishes.

Liz - will e-mail you tomorrow morning, if you fancy a 'chat'. I know it's nothing like the same as you and I having a drink/fag/chat after you've closed, but I'll e-mail anyway for a catch up.

Wouldn't you think that when you get to our age, life should be relatively trouble-free - ah, well there you go my old darling

Jeannie,

Tut tut Have you forgotten that you can't smoke in the restaurant now!

After New Year can't smoke inside any of the restaurants so when you are over it will be just like home from home.
