Yesterday the temperature reached minus 10,it has snowed all night, roads iced up.But the warmth of

the Ukrainian people has been an inspiration!!!!Lovely meals, fantastic food, copious toasts of vodka.

The women are beautiful, all dress so smartly, nearly every girl,100m high heeled boots,in the snow!!!

I look forward to a little TRNC warmth, but will return here very soon.

I can understand why Western men would fall for Ukrainian ladies.

Er, Bill The Ukraine don't use Roubles..

But where Mike is they think they should be still part of Russia - it is VERY close to the border ...

It always amazes me how Former Soviet women LOVE their high heeled booted.. even in snow

Bill

It is the Hryvnia pronounced UAH, have some very good memories of the Ukraine and quite a few Ukranian friends.

Hi Mike

Thanks for helping Bill out ;)

The money is pronounced ( something like) Hir riv nia if speaking Ukrainian and ( something like) Gir riv nia is speaking Russian ... UAH is the GBP / TL / EUR shorthand...

YUP.. Russians have Garry Potter ;)

Дніпропетровськ замело. Зима, як завжди, прийшла неочікувано.

Re 11

Proper Russian pronunciation of Ukrainian Hryvnia is Grivna (Гривна)

"YUP.. Russians have Garry Potter ;)" Yep, and Garry Kasparov ;)
