150 lira for dongle and either 60lira a month or 95 lira for unlimited.



So to start it is 150 plus 60 or 95 per month.. lira

hmmm, trouble is the 90tl unlimited, isn't unlimited, you only get 10gb....and 4gb with the 60tl package...hope this is helpfull.

60tl or 90tl for one month.



90tl allows 10gb



60tl allows 4gb



So, if you use your 4gb in one week (as I did by downloading films) you are cut off. Best to take the 10gb option.



You can keep track with your gb use by sending a message to 1111 using the word BURUM. They reply a couple of minutes later showing how many gb you have used.

This is what the guy on the Turkcell stand in Karakum Lemar wrote out for me yesterday:



4GB = 60TL



10GB = 90TL



10GB+ = 110TL (on this option you can download as much as you want between the times of 2am and 8am)



He also said the modem was 150 tl but this is not the new price

modem is 149 tl! monthly price:

4gb - 60 tl

10gb- 90 tl

10 gb plus - 110tl ( between 2am - 8am unlimited).

if you buy a 1 year package, the modem is free ( if you already have a modem you will recieve 1 month extra free)

4gb - 720 tl

10gb - 1080 tl

10 gb plus- 1320 tl

I find 60 tl plenty enough for me, as I don't download films, and I undersood that 90 isnt actually unlimited, best thing is to go into Lemar, they are helpful to answer any questions tuesday may have.

I would be wary about buying any subscription one year up front.



Turkcell moved the goalposts half way during the year and many of us were told we had purchased 'unlimited' internet service only to find that they decided to come out with a new price list and we all ended up limited!



They may not do it again but who knows.

The guy in Laconic Computers in Alsancak is really helpful. He speaks really good English, and advised me to give the 60 lira a try first when the prices went up. As I don't download anything, that is fine for me.

The shop is on the mainroad from Lapta do Alsancak. When you come from Lapta, you pass the Sterling supermarket on the left hand, then after passing Hatice's pharmacy and some more other shops you find Laconic on the left side (next to a hunting shop).

don't know the price for Turkey you will probably need a new sim .I used mine in Turkey it lasted 2 min when I got back the helpful girl in Turksell found I'd used the phone allowance on the sim

Also when I was in Turkey I tried to top up my mobile and mainland Turkey Turksell could not top up TRNC sims
