Twitter has been hacked by an unknown group called the Iranian Cyber Army (!). Twitter have acknowledged that their security has been breached. Passwords are compromised. If you are in the habit of using the same password for al your different website accounts, then they are all compromised. It would be wise to change all your passwords quickly if you have a twitter account

I don't think the passwords are at risk, It was a DNS attack and to quote security firm Trend Micro spokesperson
