this is nearly 2 years old! That is unless Gary Robb has escaped UK prison.

We were down at the beach and had a horse ride,

the horses name was Shergar, he was pretty fast too.

Dicky, (Richard John Bingham) said he bought him cheap a while back

Sure there was something dodgy about these two.

Nick Msg 6,

You keep rattling on about we bought here because the properties were cheap. Well you might have done but we certainly didn't. Compared to other properties Medviews are not cheap but even if they were, it isn't the reason why we bought in the TRNC. We bought because we like the friendliness and beauty of this part of Cyprus and the more laid back way of life. It's proximity to some of the most historical and interesting parts of the world, which we intend to visit once we are living on the island permanatly. So please don't assume that everyone is like yourself and we are only there for cheap houses, cheap beer and cheap fags. There is more to life than that.

Msg 9 Tbw

Exactly how we feel, we bought for the same reasons, definately not bothered about cheap booze as I rarely drink and I have given up smoking so the cheap fags have no attraction either, must admit though property is very reasonably priced.

The butlers wife,

You should not let NN get up your nose, after all as he said on the 24 Nov 2009:

"I've had enough of all that Cy44 nonsense...

Far too many blithering idiots on there for my liking.

So i'm parking my bike here (as my old Uncle Percy used to say...) from now on, if that's ok....

Hope this is a Garry Monger's Missus friendly zone ??

Nick"

Guess he is not there after all then!!! Ignore him enough and he will go back to where he ran away to when Cyprus44 went down last month.

Have a great day - we did not buy because it was cheap either, but then we also do not run away to another country for the winter - this is home!

not sure what country your from nataless, but there will be far more criminals and gangsters as you say living in the country you left to enjoy this lovely sunny island!

Does it really matter who lives on the island,im sure they would never be interested in bothering you or i !

Strange this posting as I was only watching the dvd BBC program about Stan Rankin and Gary Robb 2 nights ago again, after it first came out a few years ago. Not the little haven it once was, too risky for criminals to think they are safe anywhere now. Probably more chance of not being caught if they stay in the UK now.....!!!!

lol! I just found the article interesting as I wasnt aware & wondered how many others were...I guess everyone has their reasons for moving here, doesnt bother me, I am leaving soon but have had a good year here! Msg9 I dont think you can argue that a lot of people buy properties here as they are much cheaper than the UK, more often than not more hassle ie deeds etc but definately much cheaper!!! I have enjoyed the sun (apart from this rainy miserable week!) & do enjoy the cheap ciggies I must admit too but have tried to live as 'local' as possible and not as a typical ex pat, although obviously its nice to have English friends too that understand your culture & things like English books available at the Girne library etc

Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone & a Happy New Year whether you will be staying on in sunny North Cyprus or moving on like me!

Best Wishes,

Natx

Nat - 'its nice to have English friends too that understand your culture & things like English books available at the Girne library etc'.

Quite right, my sentiments exactly, and what is wrong with that? I may have missed something, but where are you moving to?

Next stop Turkey! Then we will see, 'life is a journey not a destination' as they say!

Nat I wish to my god i was your age and could just take a journey. I feel to old to restart my life. This beautiful island and I do love it has taken my life and our money. plus i will never leave what i start namely the dogs. As it is they come to me broken and i see thier pain. Every body tells mne they are only dogs but for the life of me i cant understand how the hell they find me. I will not leave them whilst I have breath in my body. I wish you all the very best for your future. You are young and beautiful the world is your oyster. Enjoy every jounrnet to the next/ It was a great pleaure knowing you xxxxxxx

I hear that the economy is getting so bad in Italy, that the Mafia are laying off judges.

I've just got home from work today to find the house has been broken into and we've been burgled. Not only that but my 8 months pregnant wife has been subject to a three hour rape ordeal and has been beaten to within an inch of her life.

I have never felt such hatred and anger towards another person in my life.

I can't believe the buggers have taken my golf clubs.
