RE masg 1, Coachie: (...) I wish you all the Very best for Xmas and The NEW year and may we still continue to have our differing opinions, and to another 4yrs.of dear old Gordon and his crew..... (...)

=> I return your wishes, Coachie, although I MUST ask you: who is Gordon and his "crew"..?! I suppose you mean Mr. Gordon B. and the bunch (of the past...) - he had to sack for disgraceful reasons..?

Coachie,

A Happy Christmas to you.

I'm confident that 2010 will be the year when our unelected Prime Minister is given the push

Pipie..I thought you were freezing to death the other week? Are well Xmas time is meant to have snow and cold. Not cold inside though got the central heating on thanks to Gordies winter fuel payment !Ha,HA..Had me thermals on on Monday went I went for a game of golf before we had the snow but I suspect that will be end fof the golf for a while now.

Woodspeckie..Be thankful for small mercies my dear .A lot of countries do not pay retirement pensions from the state.I always say a little bit of some thing is a whole lot better than a load of nothing.Well cnt be that measly if you have four weeks in TRNC. Enjoy..bye for now..

To be replaced by Cameron and Boris - God help us !!

Woodspeckie I suppose you remember who severed the link between pensions and earnings? But then why let the facts get in the way of a bit of right wing rhetoric !!

Maybe John Major did take over from Mrs T, but she didn't appoint him, as blair did with brown.

mminitor..Mrs t did not appoint major. She gave her support against Hesseltine in the second run off for the leadership.

At least Blair was not sabotaged by his own party membership.Admittedly he got out at the right time and left Brown to carry the can, even then Brown had to face a selection run off, which is the same for all parties..
