I think you'll be 'shovelling peas with a pitchfork'!

When we lost half our life savings due to the outright lies and incompetence of a lawyer, we were told by one of the top Girne lawyers that: 'In TRNC, it is unethical for one lawyer to sue another...'

The outcome is that we have no redress open to us, whatsoever, for the malpractice of this scoundrel.

I'm afraid ingrained 'nepotism' is the main force acting against foreigners from getting any justice.

There is no such thing as "Property Complaints Department (against Lawyers). " If you have soemthing really solid against an advocate, you should make a written complaint in Turkish to the Baro. If you wish, you e.mail me your complaint in English and I will advise you accordingly and if I see it worth it I will translate it for you into Turkish. It is a myth that "one dog does not bite another dog" but you must have good case capable of proof in court.

Have a look at Home Buyers Pressure Group site - http://www.hbpg-trnc.net

Otherwise as in msg 2, you are f*****, sorry up the creek without a paddle.

I think there are many hundreds who, if they were not so fed up, would respond in same vein.

Sorry.

I think that HBPG has said that the PCO is closed. If you want to contact Feyzi Hansel, the General Secretary of the Bar Council (BARO), his email is feyzihansel@gmail.com. He did say he was going to help with cases against lawyers but that remains to be seen.
