Hello folks,



As you may have seen on a previous thread, Barry (aka Snakes) will be performing at the shayna beach club tomorrow night.



He isn't very good at 'blowing his own trumpet' so I'm going to blow it for him.



So I just wanted to let you all know, that this guy is a complete Legend, He has toured with many fabulous artists such as Lionel Ritchie, played with Eric Clapton, worked and written music for Annie Lennox, as well as playing on many other artists albums (too many to mention)



He was even one of the WOMBLES back in the 70's! - and most importantly he's a top bloke.



He's doing this night for free and intends to collect for charity. I don't know how many more times he will perform on the island, so please go and support him.

Barry stood in on a Top of the Pops recording as session musicians often do. He wore the costume of Madam Cholet and played a guitar.

The man you are refering to with headphones on and standing at a desk was Tim the resident DJ setting his equipment up to take over when Barry had finished. He was nothing to do with Barry's perfomance.



No plans made for New Years Eve that are public.

Sorry my fault - He wasn't actually one of the wombles, he just stood in and wore the gear for a TOTP gig, I'm sure Barry could provide you with a photo!! LOL!
