walked over today, first cafe on the right hand side..............don't go there................

nescafe,2 nescafe 8 euros for a sachet, jug of water milk and sugar, I was fuming!!!!!!!!

questioned the first cafe on the left hand side............coffee, 2.50 euros. two nescafe 5 euros,

After doing our shopping, we counted up the euros we had left, not enough for two coffees, bless them,

we just gave them what euros we had left, actually had a proper cup of nescafe, made for us, and they were most hosbitable.

When we go over (rarely)we go to MacDonalds and they do a good cup of coffee for a euro. On Ledra Street, on the right going from the north.

Had a McDonalds filtre coffee in Ledra Arcade yesterday arvo - spot on coffee, and piping hot in its lidded cup!

Why go opposite to Starbucks and pay 'over the odds', even by international Starbucks' prices?

'Love Cyprus!' says the nauseatingly obsequious TV ad.!

Because this is Cyprus and we should consider it a privilege to be ripped off here?

They'll soon be going the way of Greece - then they'll wonder what struck them - especially when they see the Turkish mainland tourist trade booming!

But it will be 'our' fault.... !!!

I didn't see a McDonalds when we walked over, but nevertheless, just don't go to the

first cafe on the right hand side unless you want to pay the earth.

McDonalds? I haven't been there, but if the taste of the coffee is the same like in the USA, don't go there. And if they ask you if you want it with "hazelnut" or any other flavor, say NO and ask for a coffee with coffee flavor

I agree absolutely with messages 2, 3 and 4. The McDonalds' coffee for 1 euro is by far the best!

I couldn't believe the price of a cup of coffee in Ledra Street, I paid €4.95 it wasn't Nescafe, but Illy (still extortionate tho) I only pay €1 in my local village !! Nicosia is very overpriced.

I have got to say there is not really any motivation to go over to the south anymore unless its something you really need that you cant get here.

I thought meat products were on the list of banned goods. You could face a very hefty fine if caught.
