Do you remember when Milk Tray came in 1/4 pound boxes at Xmas. And selection boxes had spangles in them, and Fry's 5 boys chocolate.

What else did you get in your selection box or Xmas stocking?

Chris - I remember the quarter pound boxes of Milk Tray and Fry's Chocolate Cream bars were my favourite when I was a kid.

Milky Way, Picnic. Remember Caramac - sickly stuff!

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Always got chocolate coins in my stocking. Our neighbour always sent me a tin of Sharps toffees which I loved. Think the tin did the trick.

Fry Chocolate cream bars now they were fab.

I remember when I was a child my father had a shop which also sold sweets, I know this was naughty but when he had the tins of Cadburys on show I always took the little bars of chocolate out, customers were always saying (so I heard from my Father) why dont they put the little bars of chocolate in the tins now,

I knew the answer and I think my dad did too )

how about the 1/2lb blocks of chocolate which had individual cream fruit centres ie. strawberry, coconut etc they were a bit like a bag of revels but in one single block of chocolate made by Cadburys/Fry

Also what about the block of toffee with the little hammer.

Message 16 - when I was young, I knew these as "Fry's Five Centre" bars. Bought one every Saturday out of my pocket money, along with my "Bunty" comic.

I'm wi you on that one Kaiserphil! Tiffin bars were great. And so was a mug of Horlicks and a slice of hot buttered toast after you'd been at the swimming baths on a Sunday morning!

Lke dark chocolate Bounty but not nearly so good as Ruffle bars. MMMMM. They are definately YUMMY. Or you can still buy a quarter pound of the individual sweets. Long as it is plain chocolate, loved Bournville almond choc bars ( no longer available). Updated must be Thorntons plain choc brazil nuts. Getting a case or the munchie-itis. Thinking of breaking into my grandsons selection box!!!!

Coachie you are too slow, why didn't you hide them!

Irene - had almost forgotten Ruffles! Loose and in a bar. Delicious.

Coachie - you'll have to be a bit quicker off the mark; as Irene says, hide them before your wife has the chance

Jamborie bags, flying saucers and lemonade chrystals, I know they're not chocolate,

but i grew into the sweet taste with Fry's chocolate cream and Caramac. My fave was the

chocolate buttons with 100's and 1,000 on them. I think you can still get them, but they

don't taste the same.

Does anyone remember sweet cigarettes? Little white sweet sticks with the ends coloured pink (to represent a lit fag, I presume). As Bladerunner says, imagine that nowadays
