What a good time was had by all , raised a few TL for cancer charity and had a good laugh, perhaps a few more will join us next year.

This was the first year we have done it here, but traditions have to start somewhere.



Next year I'll make sure you all know about it earlier. So no excusses in 2010 !

I entered the racing at the Maldon flats a few years ago, this is this years and all for charity!

So yes BigMart, traditions have to start somewhere but done this one once and never again though may consider a Christmas day swim

That looks like very hard work at Maldon - not for the faint hearted.

An organised dip for charity at Christmas or New Year's Day is a fantastic idea - we do one every New Year at Peel, Isle of Man. Also 6 other beaches have dips, but Peel is the biggest one.

I'll join you next year as i went into my pool on Christmas day and the temp was 9 degrees so 19 degrees in the sea sounds good.
