This is the first time I have been able to access Cyprus44 since Christmas Day does anyone know what the cause of the break was this time?

We had another DDOS attack on our server...



We suspect that the owner of another forum in Cyprus is causing this attack.



Rest assured that we are working hard to remedy the problem. There may be some more downtime as we work on our servers.

I know Jean posted Christmas morning and it went down just after that. I have also seen onthe other forums that certain people have been gloating about Cyp44 going down. One, Mr Watson is in his element. If any of the others who have been having digs at Cyp44 members show there faces I will be sure to point them out.

There was a message from Izzet on North Cyprus Freepress site. He is going to try and have a firewall set up at a cost of £350 a month to try and avoid future attacks. (Sorry not quite up to computer speak, so if I have not got this info right please forgive me).

Couldn't access C44 since Xmas Eve and guessed that the hackers had been at it again. Anyway, good to find everything back to normal (more or less) and well done to Izzet & the team. Hope everyone had a good Christmas with no nasty surprises (other than this website being down!).

Dizzy don't rise to it. 44 is back now, and as you say no-one died, was seriously hurt etc. You have to understand that "some" people are very passionate about 44, it is their whole life, and would have had serious withdrawal symptoms at their loss.



However, I do think if allegations are being raised, evidence should be produced to substantiate it, although that may not be possible if investigations are underway.



I don't think that it has anything to do with any other NC Forum though, and some people would be very silly to point the finger in such a direction. IMO its more likely further South. No doubt we will be informed.
