Getting to Larnaca Airport

Hi going to Gatwick on the 18th january from Larnaca airport. Never been this way before as ticket price was so cheap thought I would try.

Found out that bus goes from Nicosia.

But would be easier to travel with someone if going to airport too.

I live in Karagouglo ( sorry about spelling )

Would be prepare to pay toward petrol etc..

The buses usually depart from Solomous Square. Just a short walk via Ledra Street or Palace. At €5 each way they are very good value. A taxi from Ledra Palace will set you back €55.

This is one of the downsides of cheap tickets to the RoC.

Are you sure that the current airport shuttle goes from Solomos Square as the last time I went that way a few months ago the old Green bus that used to do the airport run still goes from there but finishes in central Larnaca and no longer goes to the airport. We got caught out and had to cab it to the airport from Larnaca which was still cheap. There are also a few local buses from Larnaca town to the airport but are infrequent.



On the way back caught the new shuttle which finished well out of the old city of Nicosia inconveniently located near an abandoned hotel the Philoxia ? (or something similar) leaving a short cab ride or extremely long walk back to the border.

We also have taken advantage of the 'cheap flights' on that day and will be travelling to Larnaca for 16.40 check in
