Oh no Mike please don't go down that road, and for Richard can I assure you Nurseawful her hubby, my OH and I know someone who went down that road via NC nightclubs. We still are not sure that when she took him to meet her family if he is still alive. He sold his belongings and villa to 'buy her from the owners of the nightclub' and take her back to her 'home'.

I work in a hospital and I work with ladies (and I mean really nice ladies) that would love to meet up with males of similar age with some of the same interests.

Liz I went off Forum and sent you an e-mail as regards your poochies.

As for me I want to put this year of ill-health behind me and get back to living my life, and thank God (who ever your God is) that my cancer has been caught early and dealt with. I want to thank all the Forum members who have given me support to get through it, without you lot I think I might have cracked. Thank yoy all. XX Irene

Liz will e-mail regarding not so much mystic as pshycic (sp) Grandmother was seventh child of seventh child. Taking it off Forum cause it is off the track of the original thread and there are the ones who will scoff.

My prediction is that we will meet sooner rather than later and might not win the lottery but will someday move to NC. I am a very good bar manageress and can also do table waiting. My experience of wines and in particular Italian ones is extensive. One of the main reasons I married second time around despite saying never again to Edward is that he invited me for a meal and cooked Italian meatballs and pasta. After that I decided I would keep him. His meatballs many years down the line are still brill and our eldest grandson now cooks them for his girlfriend and her mum.

Has this past decade been one of the worst in most of our lifetimes, i.e. 9/11, 7/7, Madrid/Bali bombings, Katrina, Tsunami, Iraq, Afghanistan, Maddie McCann, Shipman, Huntley, Litvinenko etc. etc. etc. I'm sure you can think of more...............Of course all ending with a worldwide recession.

Glad it's over, as far as I'm concerned!

On a personal note , had such a lot of deaths of very close relatives and some of those were very young , and have coped with near tragedies , also 3 very close and dear friends friends diagnosed with various conditions . For us it certainly could'nt be any worse than last year . So for next year my reslove is , give thanks for what i have got , not expect too much from people , and not be too judgemental and try to be a nicer person
