It still is approx 2.43 to the pound.
I use a site http://www.oanda.com which lets you convert any currency in the world against any other currency or group of currencies. You just have to allow for the fact you will always get a slightly worse exchange rate say 1-2% when you change your money as these are interbank rates for large transactions .
