| A few questions from a non-computer person:
1. Can you use a wireless router if you are on Turkcell 3G?
If we can use a router then I will stay with 3G but if not then I will look to install a broadband service ie extend then the next question is:
2. If we were to buy a router which, where and approx how much do they cost over here or do we arrange one from UK?

| Oh dear, does this mean that there was no computer person on line last night or that no one knows, which I doubt as I see so many computer knowledgeable people here.
I am hoping that the question is not too daft but I really do not know the answer to point number 1.
Would very much appreciate someones input.

| Scooby if you have 3g you will need a 3g wireless router I am not sure of the price, but a normal router for wireless broadband is about £60-£70 here from Laconic computer shop. I am not sure if they supply 3g ones from lacoanic but you can buy them from turkcell or telsim. |

| Here in Australia they cost about £30, would it work in TRNC if I bought one. |

| Scoobydo - I bought a 3g router March this year from a company in Ireland which works very well. I am not using it now as I have gone to another provider. It cost me £60, you can have it for £30. PM me if interested. |

| Just been in touch with Laconic and a 3G router was quoted to me at 200 USD!!!
Turkcell at Lemar is waiting for some to come in and doesn't yet know the new prices.
Can you use all 3G routers from UK on any network or are they limited to certain networks? In other words do I need to look at anything in particular before getting one brought over if I have to? |
