UK car hire?, who do you use?

Who do you use, just done a search for 14 days mid Jan from Stansted, FORD KA all inclusive cheapest, Easycar.com @£226 ,then there was economycarrental.co.uk @ £422!!!(FOR THE SAME CAR!!).

We use the search Rhinocar also Fourmotion check that some of these companies include 2nd driver free plus all 5 door cars. They ought to come up with the best options ...we used Rhinocar for Oct in UK for an 18day hire £305 and we had an Hyundai i30 5 door.

I always use http://www.travelsupermarket.co.uk and then click on car hire. It gives you all the companies prices on one page.

Try Avis have not had any problems and its easy to find them at Stanstead!! Price was good but I only had a small car.

Used Hertz twice at Stansted. Book and pay on line, could not find anything cheaper in same class of car.



Tried all the other search engines and could not get close. In fact on their comparisons throw Hertz out cos they showed as £100 more than Hertz site on one of the searches. So there is obviously bias towards certain companies on these comparative sites.

DO NOT USE BUDGET RENTALS, i got stiched up they never checked the car over before i picked it up, i found 10 marks / damage on the car when i phoned them they just added it to there sheet, if i had not checked the car over i would have been liable for the damage, i missed 1 bit and they charged me £300

Always found Avis are willing to do a free upgrade if you ask nicely and Hertz have free upgrade offers on at the moment. Have used both; no complaints.

Agree with Cyprusishome about the comparison sites flagging up firms as being more expensive than the individual home sites.
