| Following on from a few threads about wildlife (especially reptiles) you may find this useful, it also has pictures so you can identify your "treasure": http://sci.ege.edu.tr/~bgocmen/herptiles_cyprus.html It also advises what to do if you are bitten by a venemous snake. I found this site after finding a really beautiful skink in the kitchen (NO, not stink, I wasnt cooking that night!!). I had never seen one before, it was like a fast moving bronze coloured earthworm,but when I picked it up had tiny legs!! I let it go in the garden. It was a Budak's snake eyed skink!! |
