This is a far more difficult question than at first it appears.



There are two main considerations to it:-



1) With all the fools like politicians, bankers and industrialists that rule us all it seems that there is no chance that intelligence will prevail.



2) With wealth you can buy people with more intelligence than you have

Wealth can indeed follow as a result of intelligence.

Intelligent use of wealth can maintain the wealth status.

Which indeed carries most respect intelligence or wealth.



As one intelligent friend said to me:



I started off with nothing and I still have most of it left..that is wealth.

Yes Thesaints, but maybe the wise man realises that wealth does not make you happy; but is wisdom the same as intelligence? I think the best thing is to have enough and to enjoy life and intelligent pursuits if that is your way and stop chasing wealth for the sake of wealth. I find many of the wealthiest play life like a monopoly game and after they make millions they still want more and forget the simpler and important things.
