Can anyone tell me how often we get snow on the hills/ mountains in the Girne area? What month is it likely?

I know its a strange question when the weather is so nice outside compared with the UK

Last year there was snow on the top of the hills above Lapta in late February. Only for a day though!

The first winter I was here I saw cars that stopped on the road to Lefkoşa because the snow was gathered on the ground and lots of people were making snowmen on the bonnets of their cars!!!
