just getting ready for the race for life , have'nt done any training this year , did'nt have time , but after a few g&ts and some good friends for company { we don't stop talking } it should'nt pose too much of a problem , i will be in training very soon for the 26 mile overnight moon walk next year , anybody want to join in ???? let me know ! registration has not started yet . have a great week-end

Good on you Simbas and Girl Power. My daughter and daughter in law and friends all take part in our local (well used to be our local before moving here !!) one. It is a great atmosphere and such a worthwhile cause.

Its amazing that so many women/girls turn up and take part and brings a lump to your throat thinking of all the C sufferers that there are and have been.

Maybe we should set up a similar thing here next year - get everyone involved and collect a bit of money for C charity/treatments.

Good luck Simba - I did the local Race for Life a few years ago and had a brilliant day - from the warm up beforehand (couldn't stop laughing) to the walk round (didn't stop talking). I take my hat off to you doing the Moon Walk - you go girl!!

ps. Good idea about doing something similar over here - but make it later or earlier in the year!!!

well , i did it , i'd like to say with dignity , but at the finish it was all up hill and i did struggle , but had a wonderful picnic and several g&ts later felt i could have done it all over again { only joking } but it was for a really worthwhile cause and i'm so glad i did it , thanks for all the good luck you sent me
