Phil "The Power" Taylor (Eng) 6 sets v Simon "The Wizard" Whitlock (Aus) 3 sets.

Is there a comeback on the cards?

Hi baldeagle,

Wasn't too keen on the 3rd + 4th place match earlier.

Barney looked pretty miserable against Mark Webster.

Seemed he'd rather be somewhere else.

Still, he got £40,000 for 4th place.

Webster got £60,000.

Lot of money at the top now.

Totally agree Navek, Barney had already said he didn't want to play it but fair play to Webster with that win, it puts him into the top 32 and now he can compete every week with the top players but for me Phil Taylor will still rule this game for another few years yet.

I think Barney had to do a little more than just turn up, qualifying for the semis comes to mind.

Are you adding the dutch part just to agravate a certain party?

Hi Hippo,

"Is darts a sport?"

Sky Sports seem to think so!

If the hammer, shot putt & weightlifting which are in the Olympics

can be classed as sport, why not darts?

Me, just a good excuse to go out for a pint,

and meet friends

Normally I would jog down to the pub,

sometimes return on a stretcher

Don't get riled up sir, I assumed nothing. He qualified whilst suffering from suspected diabetes according to press reports.

Playing badly, giving up, quitting. All could be true but to get there he had to try.

The Dutch thing was a follow on from some spats I've seen recently (and not so recently) toward our resident crusader. Not meant to be abusive in anyway.

Message 16

Your point re the darts is probably true, as for the dutch chap he has some very valid points and is course entitled to his opinion but these should be conveyed without insulting ones British identity and insulting the monarchy, furthermore as you point out any "spat" with him will be over some of his statements and not connected to a Dutch guy playing darts. Have a nice day sir.
