Geoff Hoon and Patricia Hewett to make a statement in the house to oust GB from leadership..more to follow.

Lets hope they are successful, mind you they are a couple of washed up hasbeens, she was a disgrace when head of the Health Service.

They have penned a letter calling for a secret ballot, GB is dead in the water anyway but this is dire for the LP because if no one comes forward ( I would like D Miliband) to challenge it is a waste of time.

The good thing is that it is the final nail in the LP's coffin.

Oh dear, secret ballots? against a PM that was never elected in the first place and initiated by political 'has beens'. What a sorry state the UK is in.

And Mr T Blair didn't know what he was doing when he let GB take over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blair knew that there was going to be trouble, he bottled it and ran, with hopes of better things to come which never materialised.

Only one person who could sort the UK out again and I will not even mention her name.

Well said nursey, good ole Margret would still be up to the challenge, shame toff boy Cameron seems like another spineless nob. I dont see a natural leader ammong any of the current political wanabee's, its doom, doom and more doom. I think instead of having an election we should have an Xfactor competition it would entice a new interest in politics and it does'nt matter who wins they cant do a worse job than Gordon Clown.

I have been a Labour supporter all my life till TB took us to war in Iraq, now I am just disgusted with Labour and all the MP's, what a spineless bunch of overpaid muppets they are.

What made me choke was some dopey labour tart saying GB was doing a good job with the recession, he got us into this mess and we are the only country still in recession, the man should be shot.

Greylag.Message 17. This was in the Guardian today:

Confirmation that the UK is the only G20 nation still in recession sent the pound tumbling to a two-month low against the dollar, with sterling dipping below the $1.60 level after the ONS announcement.

Ministers will now have to wait until the next set of growth figures are published in late January before receiving evidence that their attempts to boost activity have worked. Public investment in buildings helped provide the biggest boost to construction output for more than six years, while the "cash for clunkers" scheme led to a pick-up in demand for cars.

DC4.. he has not been booted out yet.Dont forget the Majority of Tory party voted for Blairs war as well or had you forgotten that, and any comments on MRS.T.s TWO wars she took us into....

When the Tories were in and we had the Boom and Bust decade every body screemed blue murder because of the high taxes, high interest rates till eventually they were booted out.In come the Labour and they do the same and everybody is happy, till things go pear shape,so no doubt they will get the chop for the next few years and the somebody else will come in.Like being on a bloody merry go round.Very fickle we British, only interested in money and if some one offers a shilling or two more than the other we vote for them...

In 1938, Winston Churchill, in a letter to the times, said "If our country is ever in dire straits, I hope a leader with the strength of will as Herr Hitler comes forward to guide us"

Our straits are certainly dire.

Let's see who we have, errrrrrm, no, or errrrrm, no, what about, errm no.

Winston Churchill was a great man, let's all hope Nick Griffin doesn't grow a silly moustache and use the letter of '38 as a flag. And if you think it can't happen.....................

Dizzy..Everytime I see that Cameron and Osbourne on tv, I immediately think of the episode in "fools and Horses" where Del Boy and Rodney were dressed as the Cape Crusader and Robin running up the street and appearing out of the mist.I can just imagine them doing an advert in tyhe same theme "We are here.Your Saviours are here" and then tripping on the cobbles to land flat on their faces. Brilliant ...

Seems to me all leaders these days are a bit wishy washy. The problem is all the leading parties basically have the same beliefs,

Never mind the politicans - the country needs a strong leader - anybody out there willing to take on the job = would need to be financially independent (e g not needing salary or need to fiddle expenses) = willing to take on the politically correct brigade and challenge ridiculous aspects of elf and safety and 'uman rights - I cannot think of one single person - can you?
