I'm sorry to inform you that I have cancelled all planned Historical Walks (Famagusta, North and South Nicosia). If you want to be informed about forthcoming events (Medieval Cyprus Fellowship) you're invited to send an email with "Mailing list" in the Subject to mcf.trnc@gmail.com . People on the existing mailing list will of course be informed. There will be no more announcements about the Walks on this board.

Hans, you've packed in the chess, which gave pleasure to many and now the walks. I don't play chess and I do my own walks, but if both decisions have been taken because of hate mails, don't give in to them. This is what bullies want, don't let them win. You and I could never be called friends, but I don't like what is happening here. Ignore these bullies. They may not go away but you don't have to let them win.

Tony Hans has not quit the chess. He is our founder member anbd a very big part of every tuesday. I do not know what has gone on and I feel very sad if Hans has been threatened. I miss so much coming in at this time. One thing I know Hans will not be intimadated xx

I'm not sure if you are even bothering top follow the posts but despite the differences we have had in the past I think it would be a great shame if you were to give up on the forum.

I have heard on a great many occasions about how useful your advice and assistance has been. I am not talking about reading that, I am talking about real people who I know cosider themselves as your friend and they would be hugely dissapointed if you gave eveything up.



I realise you might not want to take my advice but just in case, take a while off and come back with a fresh mind and hopefully some of the issues that are affecting you might have been resolved.

This is all really sad, it takes me back to last year when someone else who is now trying to be all sweetness and light was continually sniping and making cruel and unfounded accusations, dont give in to them Hans, many on here rate you highly, sometimes controversial but hugely useful, these boards can bring out the worst in people, they dont know what honesty and integrity is some of them but as you can see from the replies - even some of those who have crossed swords with you in the past respect you and want you to continue posting
