Why is it that the mods close so many subject's so quickly ??

Hans Doleman's thread was topical and it is needed to see the venom that is coming from some people on the board, they are really sad but if they had half as much to contribute to North Cyprus society as Hans they would be making a decent contribution, trouble is they could not lace his boots

You must all be wrong about Little Nige. He has emailed me this morning, because on another post I mentioned his multiple id's, telling me that I am wrong he cannot post as anbody else as he is banned. I was going to post this as a new thread headed Joke of the Day. It just seems strange that he knows exactly whats going on here on 44 but you never see his user name amongst the list of people on line.

As much as I concur with the majority of views on this thread it is important to realise that accusations against a particular person have to be supported by evidence and not hearsay. Let's not sink to the same depths as those that feel the need to try and upset this board. We as 'Moderators' are well aware of what is going on and the 'members' that support the particular trouble maker are being monitored.

How do we have access to other peoples e-mails? Hans has had no communication with me or any other Forum Admin Staff as far as I am aware so how do you propose we deal with it?

this thread began as a question regarding closures. in light of recent events re. DC, may I refer to his final statement in his "against Kar" posting. When asked if this was just another case of banging our heads on walls and achieving nothing. Hans replied "no we won't this time, mark my words" I did, and I hoped that at last the stray dogs/cats problem would be resolved. Has this project also been abandoned by DC. Hopefully not. If he has an answer, that is.

Why are we encouraged to have our personal e/mails on view for people to send private vitriolic messages ? surely the idea of forums is to have discussions on varying subjects and try to be helpful, you dont have to agree, and argue via this forum thats ok,but at the end of the day its here because we can,t find anything better to do than to sit at a pc and moan.

Some forums sensibly disallow any discussion of banned members. Because they cannot respond to remarks or accusations made about them. I think that is a fair rule. Speaking as a member who knows nowt about the history of all these interpersonal disputes, I am sure you have no idea just how damaging this sort of thread is to the forum if you wish to attract and keep new members who joined thinking the forum would be about what it says it is about - useful information about Northern Cyprus.
