Is there one in the TRNC? Also is there any rough shooting or sport shooting mainly around Kyrenia?

There are several clay shoots near Girne but they generally operate in the summer. Any of the gun shops will give you the information.

Rough shooting is highly regulated here. Shooting is only permitted on selected days (normally Sundays) in the Winter/Spring months and only in selected areas which change every year. However, there is no private ownership of shooting rights (unlike UK) and you can shoot anywhere in the permitted areas (as in France). There are no vermin species so everything (including pigeon/crows) has a season. Another quirk is that you must be moving - no driven shooting and no sitting over decoys - so a dog is vital.

But first you must get a gun permit (even for an air rifle) and to shoot anything other than clays you must join the hunting federeation which entails passing an examination on gun handling, safety, and species recognition. Also the fees are not cheap because the hunting federation has an extensive rearing & release programme (mainly for partridge).
