Yes, Kent has suffered badly this year with more predicted this weekend. The council have done a great job salting the main roads however like everywhere else the side roads around the towns where most people live are treacherous

My cousin remembers the winter of '47 when my Aunt was delivering the milk to her

sister's house, and she had to walk over the front gate as the snow was that high (Ayrshire)

We've had more snow today but it was beautiful and sunny, but very cold.

That really looks like another planet. How the hell do people exist living under all that snow and ice?

It's less than 10C here in Saudi Arabia this morning too, which is over 40C less than in summer.

Is it cold in TRNC too? We'll be there in early Feb...do we need to bring cold weather gear?

The government have ordered huge supplies of grit/salt from abroad but yep, guess what? it is going to take over a week to arrive and then it will have to be distributed to all of the authorities that require it. By that time the bad weather will be over and done with.

I couldn't get salt anywhere in my small town, and today there was no CAT LITTER!

Daughter said folks are using it to grit the icy pavements! My cat goes into cattery

Wed. so 'til then I can do nothing for her. She is an indoor cat (Persian) anyway and

now even the moggies won't go out for a sh....! Who can blame them?!
