Can't help you with Mr Fly, but take a look at link below for 'do it yourself' flyscreens available in UK.

I have contacted them and received a sample of materials, it is good quality but depends whether you want to fit yourself or have it done locally in TRNC.

Mr Fly doesn't have a web site. His e mail address is mrflyoffshore@yahoo.co.uk . Phone number 0533 841 8304. We have used him and are very pleased with our screens. (phone nuber is mobile here in cyprus).

Mr Fly likes to come and measure up before he gives a price, as all windows are different sizes and not all are easy to get at. Well worth getting a quote summer prices and then see what the prices are in Winter. Seems to do most of his trade during the winter. Will do any screen to your liking.

Message 4 - was the name "Dogpen"?

They used to be really cheap a few years ago, but increased prices dramatically a while ago.

We used those that are available in the UK and put them up ourselves. Mind you, it's only a holiday home and something more substantial might be better if you live in the place all the time.

kavenkoy re. msg 8.

Mr Fly is still advertising in Cyprus Today with upto 50% off so may still be worth giving him a call.

Used him to do 2 bedrooms, bathroom and living room in my apartment only last month - very pleased with price, quality and speed of work.

Mr Fly did our screens,

A little slow to respond, but excellent quality.

One of our screens was found to have a small cut in the mesh, screen was replaced without question.

Mr.Fly did our screens. We were so pleased with them, we had no hesitation in recommending him to several others who are also happy.

Grateful thanks to Mr Fly, for sponsoring the 'Anna and Jonnie show' gave us a much needed boost!

I know they have a good reputation, due to the feedback we had whilst running the show.

here's another number for them :o)

I have had fly screens fitted by three seperate suppliers. One I would never touch again and not recommend - no I will not name names! - the second was OK but the third:

tescomar@yahoo.co.uk

http://www.tescomar.com

Best quality I have seen anywhere, excellent service, dead on time and although slightly more expensive than the rest, you only get what you pay for.

Recommended without reserve!

Window 160X140cm - double sliding screens - £110.00 as an example only! These are Teflon nets in metal frames with no plastic runners. Buy them once and forget them.

We used Mr Fly (as in when Mr Fly was John) and wouldn't use him again. Two of our windows have fly screens that are almost impossible to get out for cleaning - they have to be held at just the right spot or they don't fit back on the runners and are very cumbersome to move - yet our patio door screens just have to be looked at and they fall out! He's very slow to come out (not so slow to take a hefty deposit though) and our neighbours are STILL waiting after 8 months for him to come and rectify a problem! We have heard very good reports about Tescomar - and one of those was from someone who makes and fits fly screens!

The fellow named john (think he lives in the Ozankoy/Catalkoy area)is nothing to do with the firm Mr Fly anymore. An english family bought the company.they live somewhere in the karpaz(cannot remember the village)but they are getting well known for sensible prices , good quality work AND are reliable.it's a pity they are being penalised for faults that weren't of their making.we looked around at other screens by various maufacturers and found paint peeling on screens less than a year old.you dont want STINGING twice!!they will do repairs on other company screens(at a charge)but have a written guarantee on their own... something you don't see in Cyprus!

Guarantees, are only useful when the company stops trading if they are Insurance backed. If the new

owners are guaranteeing the previous owner work , that would be good too.

Tescomar are very good. Great quality and well fitted, on time and at a reasonable price.
