Firstly, does anyone know the best place in TRNC for the treatment of 'ingrowing toenails'? Secondly does anyone know whether it is possible to purchase a 'power log splitter' in the the TRNC - see I told you they were diverse requests!

Christ, your toe nails must be pretty thick timefore!! Try a chain saw before the log splitter, you will find it less painful

thanks people for the humour(why would anyone think that I would use a power log splitter for in ingrowing toenails - everyone know's you use a splitting axe - don't they?)

Power log splitter is a good idea if you are only going to burn pine or most citrus. If you think that a log splitter will work on olive or karob - think again! The grain on both woods is so diverse that it is very doubtful a power splitter would work. Looked into it 6 years ago and gave it a miss for just those reasons. Buy yourself a good heavy log splitter and keep it sharp - keeps you fit, keeps you warm and if you wear steel toed boots it will keep your toes safe as well!

Having been "splitting" olive wood for the past 5 years - the heavy hand held log splitter is the only answer!

Forget the steel toe caps, then you can forget about the toenail!

Ive just bought a log splitter out from the UK because ive never seen them here. It generates 2 1/2ton pressure and its like a hot knife through butter. Certainly saves swinging the old axe.

Ok, try this - buy a 2 ton hydraulic jack, cheap anywhere you find them. Buy a good bit of angle steel about 1 mtr long. Cut off 20 Cm's and weld it back on at an angle so it forms an "L". Weld an old axe head to the top of the 2 ton jack. Weld the jack body onto the long section of the angle iron so that the axe head faces the upright of the "L". Put your log between the "L" and the axe head and pump up the jack!

Log Splitters are US! Pat Pend!!
