Did anyone watch "Panorama" tonight. Just goes to show what is really going on with politicians.



She was supposed to look after the butchers son after the father died. She then progressed to getting him to slip her a cutlet on a regular basis.....money given to him to open a buisness, affair goes wrong and she turns nasty.



Husband new all about it and kept it quiet. He has now stepped down for six weeks!! In my opinion they should both step down for good.



What do others think of this farce????

Iris Robinson 59, an MP and an NI Assembly member, is currently receiving "acute psychiatric treatment" following a BBC Spotlight documentary broadcast last week.



It reported that she obtained £50,000 from two property developers for her 19-year-old lover, Kirk McCambley, to launch a cafe.



She failed to register the money with the authorities in Stormont and Westminster, as required by the law.



It also reported that her husband Peter Robinson, the first minister, knew about her financial dealings but did not tell the proper authorities.



It has been announced that she will step down as an assembly member and MP this week due to ill health. Sources have also confirmed that she will be leaving the DUP.

What happened here was that the butcher was giving her one and then he suffered from a terminal ilness and Iris promised the butcher that she would look after his son (Kirk McCambley).



Very honourably she kept her promise with the result that Kirk McCambley ended up giving her a Cumberland sausage. Probably more than one!!!!!!!!!!!!



Talk about keeping it in the family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually feel sympathy for her. She was a very silly woman and the fact that she took a high moral stance in condemning teenage sex, saying that the morning after pill was encouraging young girls. She also said that being a "Born Again Christian" she was disgusted by gay sex and homosexuals.



I am sure that she will have to leave Northern Ireland, how on earth could she ever venture out in public here ever again. Her husband Peter will never recover from this even if he was ignorant of her business dealings there will always be a stigma attached to his name and he has certainly lost his chance of a peerage now.



Over the next few weeks I am sure that we will hear a lot more scandal about them and I feel sorry for their grown up children who must be hiding in shame.
