There is a place on the Kajagoogoo industrial estate. If you go to the end of the estate, i.e. driving from GAU direction towards Zeytinlik, , this used to be a short cut from the bottom of the GAU road, to the big mosque, you will see a modern shop that sells lights, etc. Just before this is a unit that can do your job. Another way to get there is turn opposite Ian Smiths, get to the end, turn left. Good luck.

I used to have a US Army Indian 900cc in New Zealand in about 1963 - superb bike - big leather saddle and side panniers, with gearchange lever on the side of the tank. I hope they understand ali welding here - the secret mainly is that the (top) oxide layer must be firstly cleaned off the job to be welded, as otherwise the aluminium underneath the oxide layer will simply collapse because the ali melts at a lower temperature than the oxide layer. I don't know if Ziggy has (TIG) argon arc gear, or 'spool on gun' - or, indeed, if anyone in TRNC is capable of aluminium or magnesium welding. I used to use 'Eutectic' (Swiss made, but sold by BOC in UK) welding rods, just using an oxy acetylene welding plant - but essential to use the right (Eutectic) flux. Just a suggestion - but one of the Harley Davidson service agents in the South (Nicosia) is more likely to carry out this type of specialised work. You will firstly need to thoroughly degrease/oil the casting. Cracked sump?

Msg 6 Dead right Tenakoutou. Leadfoot. Be absolutely sure that they can do it. Use Tenakoutou's advice as questions for them. #I hope they understand ali welding here - the secret mainly is that the (top) oxide layer must be firstly cleaned off the job to be welded, as otherwise the aluminium underneath the oxide layer will simply collapse because the ali melts at a lower temperature than the oxide layer. # If they get it wrong your crankcase will be a molten mass on the floor Tom
